Kurasawa Hideo (Ninomiya Kazunari) suffers from cerebral palsy and because of that, he is crippled and has difficulty talking. Eveeryone objects to the possibility of him working. However, he doesn't give up and goes from door-to-door, concentrating on conveying the quality of his merchandise. As a result, he becomes the top salesman in that district after 1 year and continues to boasts the best sales.
This is Japanese remake of an American made-for-TV movie. The original movie was based on a true story.

仓泽英雄因为在刚出生时患上神经性小儿麻痹，导致运动能力受损，同时患有语言障碍，并且没有可能治愈。他爸爸是一个优秀的推销员，并且因为成绩突出常常给表彰，从小，妈妈就以爸爸的话““想做的事”跟“能做的事”是不同的”，并以“要变成跟你老爸一样的好男人”来鼓励他。在妈妈的鼓励下，英雄很不容易得到一个见习推销员的机会，在屡屡碰壁时，同事以他的残疾博取同情的方式卖掉了产品，英雄虽然因此得以成为正式员工并拿到了提成，但对于欺骗别人始终觉得不安。善良努力的英雄在推销过程中得到了很多主妇的喜欢，同事的嫉妒让他知道了他能得到工作机会是因为妈妈不断的低声下气的求社长，英雄埋怨妈妈不相信他，认为他是累赘，争执过程中，妈妈突然晕倒。医生告诉英雄，他妈妈是因为太辛苦引发脑梗塞。知道了妈妈默默为自己所做的一切，英雄决定努力工作，真正成为和父亲一样优秀的推销员。在英雄的努力下，业绩不断增长，他也终于象父亲一样拿到了表彰状，当他把奖状拿给母亲看后回到公司，却被告知公司即将被解散......
