夏天到了，一群高中生，打算到海边度假。他们遇到了冲浪及爱情，原本期待平淡无波的假期，忽然变得特别有意义。
Three boys visit a seaside cottage to spend a happy summer vacation ,only to be impressed by the beautiful sea,bright sun and pretty girls on the beach.However ,they loose the key of the cottage naked man instead .The man teaches surfing to the boys giving them a summber they'll never forget.
大洋（三浦春馬飾演）是一個十六歲的高中生，他與兩個最要好的朋友田口及小林，決定要共度夏天。他們遠離家長的管束，住在田口家離東京數小時之遙，坐落於肖南海灘邊的別墅。當他們抵達時，立刻被一望無際的大海，以及站在濤天巨浪上的衝浪者給迷惑。他們找到了別墅，田口卻發覺鑰匙遺忘在海灘上。眾人緊張地回過頭去找時，在海灘筋疲力盡，沉沉睡去。隔天，他們被奇特的中年半裸男子杜克河原（竹中直人飾演）給嚇醒。杜克好心收留了他們，要求他們幫忙打掃，同時照顧他所經營的衝浪用品店。大友提議，以杜克教導如何衝浪，做為交換的條件。杜克欣然同意。當大洋在店裡時，遇到了一位名叫茱莉亞（加藤羅莎飾演）的美麗衝浪女孩。
