Director Takashi Kubota is based in the incubation offices of Sai-No-Kuni Visual Plaza and he has been producing digital cinema from there. He got a prize of the SKIP CITY D-Cinema FESTIVAL 2005 Short Length Competition section. Then he directed the feature length film Humming Life. This movie was also featured at last year's Tokyo International Film Festival in a special screening. It is based on the novel by popular author Wataru Nakamura. The title track is the famous rock band GOING UNDER GROUND's hit song "Humming Life". Also included are many other songs that will touch your heart. The movie features Maki Nishiyama and the so-called "musical prince" Yoshio Inoue. It is a fresh love story about a young couple.

刚到东京的蓝（西山茉希）还不是很习惯这个热闹的城市。有一天，被一只不可思议的野狗所牵引，发现树的凹洞有一个木盒，里面还装了一封信。那是深夜在托儿所工作的智宏（井上芳雄）放的。因为那封信和惊奇而恢复了精神的蓝，开始写下回复放回木盒中。于是下一次智宏的信也会再写好放入木盒。大都市的白天和夜晚，各自生活的蓝和智宏。想遇见又不能遇见的两人，因为这样不可思议的通信，现在开始了。
