Doog-joo (Lee Dong Gun) and Ji-soo (Kim Ha Neul) are good friends since they knew each other in orphanage. One day, Doog-joo is in hospital and needs to have a kidney transplant operation. Will they meet again... 玻璃画讲述到东柱，智秀和启泰三个在孤儿院一起长大的朋友。1992年，当時东柱準備帮智秀撿回掉落河里的口琴，自己却因此掉入河水並差點淹死，幸好后来被一对日本夫妇救上岸，並以山本裕一的身分被奉养了十二年。东柱后来又再次在日本遇到智秀，却不知道她已经是启泰的女友了。当启泰再次遇到东柱时，却感到十分开心，但这两人的友情渐渐地便变成争执情人的仇人。
