陈赫（宋承宪饰）是一位非常优秀的神经外科专业医生，与同是医生的女友美娜（朴敏英饰）梦想着幸福的未来，有一天就俩人大吵一架后，美娜意外发生了严重车祸而昏迷不醒。陷入绝望的陈赫面前突然出现了一位神秘的患者，一边走向顶楼一边欲投身，陈赫为了拦阻他，自己却不小心从顶楼摔下。
