Hotaru works for a famous interior design company. It's a glamorous job but Hotaru's private life is totally the opposite of glamorous.
She lives alone, and when she isn't working she's mostly lazing about her rented house in training wear. She's not interested in men. In fact, she isn't interested in anything. "I'd rather lay around than fool around," is her motto.
Her landlord is a bar owner, and one day his son, who has just separated from his wife, comes to inspect the rental property, not knowing that someone is living there. He is shocked at the mess, but not as shocked as Hotaru. He turns out to be her boss, Takano.

在公司是普通OL,在家是超级邋遢,不愿意谈恋爱的"干物女"的爱情故事.
主角雨宫荧24岁，没有约会，持续5年过著没有男朋友的单身白领生活。嘴里讲著[谈恋爱还不如在家睡觉]，一日却阴错阳差的与以做事严谨闻名的上司高野过上了同居生活。接著又被长像俊俏、被大家公认为“王子”的新进设计师索吻…本剧就是描写这位奼女被爱情唤醒过程中的种种趣事。
剧中扮演高野是藤木直人（35），与荧完全相反的完美女性三支优华由国仲良子（26）出演，板谷由夏（31）饰演的是被大家成为“大姊”的前辈山田优子，特点是娱乐工作两不耽误。
