阿鸡为人好吃懒做，但胜在反应快，满脑主意，在大企业的杂务部当个挂名经理，但其实是打杂一名，与砂煲兄弟阿九终日浑浑噩噩，是冗员中的冗员。一日，阿鸡公司酝酿大裁员，人事部儿戏地提出举行才艺表演，得到高层欢心者即可留任。阿鸡阿九自知大难临头，但却发现自己全无专长可言。舅公见二人愁眉不展，遂提议阿鸡表演醒狮，醒狮二字深深打入阿鸡脑中，有如当头棒喝。原来阿鸡一家本为舞狮世家，惜港人对传统的舞狮兴趣日减，舅公只好无奈结束狮团，家传的醒狮也只有藏在家中的灶底。阿鸡与阿九见时间紧迫，立刻发奋苦练。　　
阿鸡与阿九成竹在胸地来到比赛场地，却发现公司已经关门大吉，才艺表演只是高层的权宜之计，老板已经逃之夭夭。阿鸡与阿九辛苦练习却无用武之地，二人一念及此即决定来一个街头表演……

Prolific Hong King actor-turned-director Francis Ng pulls double duty for this comedy centering on the age-old Chinese ritual of lion dancing. Gai is an office manager whose slacker ways have earned the ire of the higher ups, and now in order to keep his job he is forced to team with colleague Gau to participate in a high-profile talent contest sponsored by the company. Later, after mastering the art of lion dancing with a little help from Gau's uncle (Anthony Wong), the pair unintentionally sends the city into a lion dance frenzy.
