Seoktae (played by Gwon Ojung) runs away with a huge diamond he has stolen and comes to the village of Sisily. Outwardly peaceful people are living in a seemingly silent, peaceful but actually horrible village. A member of an organized crime ring, Yange (singer-turned-actor Im Changjeong) runs after him to get the diamond back and finds Seoktae's trace in the village. But all the villagers are telling lies about everything; they are scarier than the ghosts. Though Yange suspects that Seoktae is here, what he actually sees is the dark past of the villagers. From the start, the Korean title of the movie is like a real puzzle. Apart from its Western counterpart Sicily (originally an Italian island known as the birthplace of the Italian mafia), pronounced as "Si-sil-li," in both Korean and Chinese letters, means "a village where time stops (is lost)" ("Si" means "time," "sil" means "to lost," and "li" means "a village").
