A corpse is found floating down the Han River. It is the corpse of a man named Yang Dal-Soo. Detective Oh comes across several tell-tale clues: metal framed glasses specially manufactured in Japan, the word "Daeryang" printed on a torn-up business card, as well as two photographs found in Yang's home. Oh goes to Ok-Cheon Elementary School, where Yang's pictures were taken. While investigating he finds a diary written a very long time ago by Sohn Ju-Hye, and discovers the unbelievable secret about the Geoje P.O.W. Camp...

在 汉 江 上 有 人 发 现 了 一 具 浮 尸 ， 死 者 是 YANG Dal-soo 。 负 责 调 查 此 宗 谋 杀案 的 OH 探 员 却 发 现 死 者 的 尸 体 隐 藏 着 一 些 蛛 丝 马 迹 ─ ─ 一 副 特 别 从 日 本 制 造 的 金丝 眼 镜 、 一 张 写 着 有 「Dae-ryang」 字 眼 的 个 人 名 片 和 两 帧 相 片 。

OH 探 员 从 相 片 中 的 环 境 推 断 ， 到 了 Dal-soo 拍 摄 该 帧 相 片 的 地 点 ─ ─ Ok-cheom 幼 稚园 。 当 他 试 图 在 该 幼 稚 园 调 查 时 ， 发 现 了 一 本 日 记 。 那 本 日 记 由 SON Ji-hye 所 写， 但 是 年 份 却 很 久 远 。 在 那 本 日 记 中 ， OH 探 员 发 现 了 一 个 关 于 Koje P.O.W. 营 地的 惊 人 秘 密 。

五 十 年 代 韩 战 结 束 后 ， 不 少 逃 犯 都 试 图 越 狱 。 当 时 Dal-soo 的 工 作 就 是 要 捉 拿 那 些 逃 犯 。 那 时 Dal-soo 爱 上 了 Ji-hye ， 并 且 协 助 她逃 走 。 之 后 ， 二 人 便 失 踪 了 。 与 此 同 时 ， 因 为 信 奉 共 产 主 义 的 Hwang-suk 被 判 五 十年 刑 期 。 Hwang-suk 虽 身 在 狱 中 ， 但 仍 深 爱 着 Ji-hye 。 巧 合 的 是 ， Hwang-suk 出狱 之 日 正 是 Dal-soo 被 杀 的 前 一 天 。

接 着 ， 另 一 位 曾 在 营 地 跟 Dal-soo 一 起 担 任 保 安 工 作 的 KIM Joong-yeop 亦 发 现 被 杀 … …
