讲述的是兜甲儿和剑铁也二人合流之后的故事，面临永远的敌人”地狱博士“和他的机械兽，为了保卫光子力研究所而开始了不懈的战斗。但是在一次战斗中，由于阿修罗男爵投入了大量机械兽，从空陆两方夹击，大魔神不支战败，而魔神ｚ更是被捕获带走，甲儿与此同时也失踪了，生死未卜。

一日，阿修罗男爵带着改造后的魔神ｚ侵入了光子力研究所，旧伤未愈的大魔神慌忙应战，结果大败。就在魔神ｚ正要痛下杀手的同时，一部巨大威猛的ｓｕｐｅｒ　ｒｏｂｏｔ出现了，强大的装甲令魔神ｚ的攻击完全无效，举手投足之间便打败了魔神ｚ，但是，接下来他的目标………………竟是光子力研究所？！
